One task you might be asked to tackle is testing new products before they are distributed to the entire franchise system. Because the introduction of a new product takes a great investment, this is a very important task. You will be part of the team that decides whether the new product will be likely to be profitable despite advertising, training, signage, new packaging, and the other costs associated with it. A new product may bring many new customers to your location during the trial and to all the franchises once it is introduced more widely.

Your successful promotion of a new product will highlight your worth to your franchiser. If the product fails, do not worry. You will have gained new customers, and the failure of the product will have no financial impact on you. Rather, costs associated with the product will be borne by the franchiser.
